Le Département de philosophie et des arts de l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières sollicite des candidatures pour un poste de professeur à temps plein en esthétique et philosophie de l’art. Le candidat retenu sera appelé à enseigner aux trois cycles, à diriger des étudiants aux études supérieures, à poursuivre des activités de recherche, à assumer des tâches de direction pédagogiques et à contribuer aux services à la collectivité.
Exigences :
Doctorat en philosophie ou dans une discipline connexe reliée à l’esthétique. Les candidats devront faire preuve d’une ouverture interdisciplinaire (philosophie, art et littérature) et démontrer, dans leurs travaux de recherche comme dans leurs enseignements, une compétence particulière en herméneutique.

The Centre de recherche en éthique de l’Université de Montréal (CRÉUM) invites applications for its postdoctoral research fellowship (grant up to $27 000) for the period of the academic year 2013-2014. The length of the stay can vary depending on the dossier and the kind of research envisaged.
The mission of the CREUM is to contribute to research in ethics and to the quality of graduate training in all fields of ethics from meta-ethics to applied questions.
We encourage applications from researchers working on themes related to the research axes of the CREUM : ethics and economics, ethics and the environment, ethics and health, ethics and politics, meta-ethics. We also admit applications from other disciplines, provided their research is directly linked to questions in ethics.
The Université de Montréal is a francophone institution. Candidates must have sufficient knowledge of the French language to be able to participate in the activities of the centre.

The Groupe de Recherche Interuniversitaire sur la Normativité (GRIN) is pleased to offer a postdoctoral fellowship worth up to $ 27,000 for the academic year 2013-2014. The internship period may vary based on the record submitted and the nature of the research.
The GRIN’s mandate is to study normativity as it unfolds in four major areas of philosophy : ethics, action theory, philosophy of mind and epistemology (for details, see our website (in french only)).
The postdoctoral fellow will be supervised by a member of the GRIN and will be attached to the Centre for Research on Ethics of the University of Montreal (CREUM), whose mission is to contribute to interdisciplinary research in the areas of ethics.

The philosophy department at Washington & Jefferson College seeks a visiting assistant professor for the academic year 2013-2014. A second year is possible but also contingent on funding, which remains uncertain at the present time. AOS: open, but must be able to teach introductory level course on moral philosophy. Teaching: six courses; three in both fall and spring, with two preparations each semester. The School of Divinity, History and Philosophy seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Philosophy with duties within the Northern Institute of Philosophy. For the first two years of the post the postholder will be seconded to the AHRC funded project The Metaphysical Basis of Logic: The Law of Non-Contradiction as Basic Knowledge (see NIP webpage http://www.abdn.ac.uk/philosophy/nip/page?id=64 for more details). For the duration of the project the postholder’s teaching commitments will be reduced to 30 hours per annum and s/he will be expected to actively support the project and the other project’s of the Institute. After the project ends in 2015 the postholder will be expected to dedicate 50% of her/his time to undertaking research within the Northern Institute of Philosophy and 50% to the administrative and teaching needs of the department of philosophy.
This post will involve a balanced commitment to both departmental and Institute activities aimed to enhance the quality and effectiveness of philosophical research and teaching at the University of Aberdeen at all levels. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the collaborative research activities of the Institute, both through supporting Institute activities and through his or her own research and research initiatives. In order to carry out research in the AHRC project, AOS in the area of Philosophy of Logic is required.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 scale (£37,382 - £44,607 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
