The Institute of Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile invites applications for two full-time Assistant Professor positions, with duties in research and in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, beginning March 1, 2019.

The Institute seeks candidates specializing in the following areas:
1) Modern Philosophy (Rationalism, Empiricism, Criticism)
2) Philosophy of Science / Epistemology
3) Contemporary Political Philosophy

The duration of the initial contract will be two years, at the end of which the possibility of a permanent position will depend upon academic evaluation.
The basic monthly salary will be around 2,000,000 Chilean pesos per month (3,150 USD).
